Couples Workshop on Saturday

Lake Gaston, NC

This Retreat is a great getaway for Military Couples that have experienced deployment. You can even bring your kids (ages 2 and up). We will provide childcare while you attend the Saturday Workshop. Children are not allowed at the workshop. There is no cost for the Saturday Workshop & Meals (A Refundable deposit is required to hold your reservation for the workshop, to be refunded after the event. $20/couple). 

Also if you are interested in making it a weekend, we are providing lodging for Friday & Saturday night (see details below).

All Arrangements to be handled by Support U.S. Armed Forces. Including registration for Workshop, Childcare, and Lodging.  Application sign-up sheet to be provided upon email request.  Space is limited to 12 Couples.

Workshop Location on Saturday

Lions Den (Lake Gaston Lions Club)

SATURDAY SCHEDULE:

Workshop Check-in: 8:30-9:00 am @ the Lions Den

  Continental Breakfast served

Morning Session Start: 9:00 am

Lunch Break: 12 pm

  Lunch provided on site

Afternoon Session Start: 12:30 pm

  Breakout Activity

Workshop End: 5pm

Dinner: 6:00 pm Location at Lions Club

After Dinner back at the Lake Gaston Lodges

 More Fun Activities, S’mores at the Fire Pit, Cornhole,

 Fishing at the Pond 

  -we will have some poles available

  -no fishing license needed to fish at the pond

CHILDCARE:

We will provide complimentary childcare on Saturday while you are at the workshop. Children are not allowed at the Workshop. 

Snacks & lunch provided. Plus activities for the children.

Special considerations:

 -Food Allergies: to be listed on sign in sheet

 -We can go over details on a case by case basis.

 -Childcare for ages 2 and up 

        (Sorry, we do not have accommodations for children under 2)

   This location is only 10-15 mins. from the Lions Den Workshop Location

 Childcare Check-in Saturday : 8:00 – 8:15 am 

    (This should give you time to get to the Workshop location by 8:30 am)

Childcare Check-out Saturday: Approximately 5:30 pm

    (Time based upon couples returning from the Workshop)

LODGING DETAILS:

We have secured lodging for the weekend at no cost to the Military Couple (& children). There will be a $50 Refundable deposit required to hold reservation for lodging, to be refunded after the event. 

Check-in & Check-out to be handled by Support U.S. Armed Forces.

 Lodging Check-in Friday:  starting at 6 pm at the Lake Gaston Lodges 

 Lodging Check-out Sunday: 11 am

 This is a rustic setting. The cabins are simple.

 Each cabin will sleep 4-6

 Non-Smoking

 No Pets this weekend (Exception for registered service dogs)

 We will provide the bed sheets. 

 You will need to bring your own towels, pillows, blankets or sleeping bags.
